At 19, Melina lives with Crohn’s disease. A simple act of support from The Foundation CA 900, a new computer, became a turning point that helped her keep studying, stay connected, and hold on to hope.
A young woman facing a difficult ordeal
My name is Melina. I’m 19 years old and I’m from the south of France. For several years now, I have been living with Crohn’s disease, a degenerative bowel condition that turns everyday life upside down. Pain, treatments, and hospital stays are part of my routine. After major surgery, I had to face a wound more than 20 centimeters across my abdomen, a visible symbol of this difficult fight.
An unexpected encounter
Along this challenging path, I was fortunate to cross paths with the people behind The Foundation CA 900. It all started with a breakdown of our family computer, an essential tool for my studies, my administrative steps, and for staying connected to the world despite illness.
A few days after sharing my situation, I received an invaluable gift: a new computer. This gesture, simple on the surface, had an enormous impact. It allowed me to resume my activities, keep learning, keep communicating, and above all, keep hope alive.
A gift just before Christmas
The computer arrived just before Christmas 2025, like a light during a time that can sometimes feel very dark. Behind this gesture are two big-hearted people: Bernie and Jacques, whom I thank from the bottom of my heart for their precious help. Their support reminded me that solidarity exists, and that strangers can become allies when life gets tough.
The role of the foundation
The Foundation CA 900 acts around the world to support the most vulnerable. My story is just one example among many of what the foundation makes possible: providing tools, opportunities, and above all hope to those who need it.
A message of hope
Through my testimony, I want to show that even in the hardest trials, there are helping hands. Crohn’s disease is part of my life, but thanks to solidarity and the foundation’s commitment, I can keep moving forward with confidence.
Thank you
Thank you to everyone who supports The Foundation CA 900. Together, you change lives.
